Gardens at Sunset is Kansas City Community Gardens’ annual signature fundraiser event. You can learn more about Kansas City Community Gardens at our website, www.kccg.org.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect some non-identifying basic information. This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed, and other non-identifying information. We use this aggregate information to improve our website and to make your experience as smooth as possible.
When you register for a reservation, we ask for your name, address, phone, e-mail address, and guests’ names and emails. We also collect donor information through other means such as direct mail, e-mail communications, and personal visits. We use your information to process your donation(s) and to verify credit card data. We use your mailing address to send your tax-deductible receipt(s) and to keep you informed about what we are doing in the Kansas City community.
We may also use contact information you provide in connection with honor cards to communicate with certain honorees for marketing, educational, informational, and other purposes.
Do we share your info?
We do not share your information with any third party entities. We use at third-party financial institution to process our credit card transactions. They receive the credit card number and other personal information of our donors only to verify credit card numbers and to process credit card transactions in a secure environment.
How can you protect your private information
If you wish to remain anonymous, after making a gift, please contact us to notify us of your wishes. Your name and address will be used to send a receipt for your gift, but no information will be made public.

Ability to Opt-out. You may restrict our internal and our external use and/or sharing of your personal information by contacting us. For example, you may request (a) that we no longer communicate with you regarding our programs, and/or (b) that we not share your information with other organizations. You may opt-out at any time, and the option to opt-out applies to both online and offline donors. Please include your full name, address, phone number, and e-mail address in your opt-out request, and indicate how you would like your information restricted.
Cookies
If you make a gift through the payment process on the checkout page, cookies are used to remember your information. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again if you would like to make another donation. These cookies will last for one year and your information is only viewable from the device you last used.

If you have made a donation on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
