Tomato Sponsor – $25,000

Nothing compares to the taste of a juicy, vine-ripened tomato on a hot summer day. KCCG’s greenhouse cultivates more than 26,000 tomato seedlings each year – enough to grow over half a million dollars’ worth of produce! A leadership gift of $25,000 provides sustaining support for our greenhouse operations, enabling us to subsidize the costs of plants for low-income members.

Sweet Potato Sponsor – $10,000

Sweet potatoes pack a powerful nutritional punch and are a staple crop at many community gardens. KCCG supplies gardeners with 18,000 sweet potato plants each year – enough for a harvest of 72,000 pounds! A gift of $10,000 supports the annual cost of operating one of KCCG’s large rental plot gardens, providing fertile growing space for sweet potatoes and more.

    Blackberry Sponsor – $5,000

    Fruit trees and berries offer a long-term, sustainable source of food in urban neighborhoods – and an impressive return on investment. A gift of $5,000 empowers Giving Grove neighborhood orchards to grow enough free fruit to supply all of the residents in 25 city blocks!

    Radish Sponsor – $2,500

    Radishes are a favorite veggie in our school gardens! When kids get their hands in the dirt and grow their own food, they gain a love of healthy eating that benefits them for life. A gift of $2,500 provides a new school garden with all they need to get growing, from raised beds to a library of curriculum resources and training for teachers.

      Basil Sponsor – $1,000

      Community gardens grow food, joy and friendships, as neighbors grow fruits and veggies that are shared with one another and local pantries. A gift of $1,000 enables KCCG to provide free technical assistance and low-cost seeds, plants and supplies to a community garden for one year.

          Sunflower Sponsor – $500

          A visit to the Beanstalk Children’s Garden opens children’s eyes to a world of vibrant, healthy foods. A gift of $500 will provide an immersive garden experience for a class of 20 students.
